THE POSITION By joining our team in Renewables you will have the opportunity to: Support the community and stakeholder engagement team and help coordinate across the project including workstreams within permitting, engineering, commercial and legal departments. Help ensure Equinor&rsquos work supports the principles of Environmental Justice and creates opportunities for disadvantaged communities, while aligning with project strategies Help design and implement new collaborations and partnerships. Design slide decks, infographics, data visualization, excel budgets, internal/external fund strategy documents and other materials to support the team&rsquos work. Assist with key regional stakeholder outreach and aid in the development and execution of local engagement and communication plans. Track federal, regional, state, local, and legislative updates related to offshore wind. Monitor news outlets and work with communications teams to create materials and support project announcements Provide administrative support in meetings, ad/hoc tasks to promote team efficiency and help maintain outreach database. For this position, we are also looking for: 3 - 5 years of work experience in government, environmental advocacy, policy, energy, marine operations, urban planning, or government/public affairs. Looking for a motivated person who can help drive change and see opportunities with stakeholder engagement in the region. Knowledge in one or more of the following communities Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, or New England and their socioeconomic and political landscapes. Knowledge of best practices in community and stakeholder engagement including planning and facilitating interviews, focus groups, briefings, meetings, and community workshops. Solid understanding of the broader energy landscape. Willingness to travel regionally and frequent attendance at local events outside normal working hours. Multilingual written and oral skills (especially Spanish, Chinese) is a plus.
