A key benefit to our business members is the relationship that we have with the City of Long Beach. Each month the Long Beach Chamber "City Liaison Committee" meets with key City of Long Beach representatives to discuss economic development, sanitation, beautification, and many other topics.

In the past the Long Beach Chamber has played a vital roll in:

• Preventing a per-linear-foot cleaning fee being assessed on commercial property owners
• Changing the sanitation pick-up times.
• Representing local businesses on the City of Long Beach beautification committee

In addition to representation, the Long Beach Chamber has raised funds through local community events to:

• Provide physical garbage cans for local business members in street-front locations.
• Provided plantings for the beautification of the central business district as well as the West End business district.
