In order to safely experience this great event, spectators are invited to drive around the beautiful streets of Long Beach to view and vote on their favorite house and balcony decorations.

Drivers will be provided with an online map of participating homes throughout the City of Long Beach. They can view and vote online.

OPTION TWO

For those who prefer to view the entries online from the comfort of their own home, we’ve got you covered. Go to the Chamber’s Facebook page from October 23rd - October 25th and cast your vote online by liking your top picture in each category - Best BALCONY DECOR (for our apartment dwellers with balconies), Best SPECIAL EFFECTS, Best OVERALL THEME, and PEOPLE’S CHOICE.

SAFETY REGULATIONS

safety masks

The City of Long Beach has put together the following safety regulations in order for all of our residents, visitors, and businesses to enjoy this fun and unique weekend.

We want our residents and visitors to experience the joys of fall in a safe, socially distanced environment.  In this crazy new normal and time of COVID-19 pandemic, let's prove we can have a safe and fun community event. Here are the few simple rules to keep us all safe:

  • Keep socially distant. This has been defined as: increasing the space between individuals and decreasing the frequency of contact to reduce the risk of spreading a disease (ideally to maintain at least 6 feet between all individuals, even those who are asymptomatic). If you come with people whom you normally congregate with, please stay with them and keep socially distant from others.
  • Our business owners have final say on crowd size and will strictly adhere to all NYS guidelines.
  • Those participating in viewing the Halloween House Decorating Contest homes are asked to stay in their cars.
  • No congregating in front of the homes participating in the contest.
  • Do not enter the property of the homes participating in the contest.
  • To ensure it is a fun day for all - people who act irresponsibly will be asked to leave

NOTE: Covid rules change all the time. Please check the City of Long Beach website or the Chamber of Commerce website for updates.
